In 2012, Melbourne-based producer Roland Tings seemed to materialize out of nowhere, mysteriously capturing the attention of Australia’s dance underground. Coupling hyperactive energy with hypnotic synth programming, the young producer filled Melbourne’s house parties and basement clubs with his bubbling, kinetic house music. The international industry soon took notice, and Roland began releasing his oddball material with labels 100% Silk and Internasjonal. Eventually, he graduated from the underground to the festival circuit, and supported artists like Jamie XX, Todd Terje, Nick Murphy, Palms Trax and Chrome Sparks on tour. In 2017, Roland Tings joined Cascine to release his Each Moment A Diamond EP. A fusion of euphoric techno and propulsive house, the EP shines equally bright on the dance floor and in headphones. Roland rounded out a banner year with the one-off release of ‘One Hundred’ featuring HIGH HØØPS. Mr. Tings now emerges two years later with 'Hiding in the Bushes,' a new single that picks up where he left off — the kind of sleek and soaring house cut that put his name on the map years back, and that will surely send heads spinning.
